Coach Polster is currently in his 15th year at Assumption Catholic School. He is the Physical Education Teacher, Athletic Director, and Head Coach of the girls’ and boys’ softball teams at Assumption. He is also the director of the Assumption Basketball League and Assumption Soccer League for the last 8 years.
He grew up in Orlando where he attended St. Charles Catholic School and then Bishop Moore Catholic High School. He had a college scholarship and played baseball at St. John’s in 2001 and 2002 before going to attending the University of North Florida where he played baseball from 2003-2005. He finished college with a 22-7 record and in 2005 played in the College World Series. In 2014 his 2005 UNF baseball team was inducted into the UNF Hall of Fame.
Coach Polster and his wife Jessica have recently had twins in October 2016.
Jessica Polster has been working and managing summer camps for over 10 years. She attended University of North Florida and holds a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has taught second through sixth grade ESE and 5th grade ELA. She currently is teaching her most important students, her twins and spends the year planning all the fun camp activities.
Pete Zahner has been teaching science or technology for the last 18 and is the current science teacher at Assumption Catholic School previously he taught chemistry at Bishop Kenny. He graduated from the University of Florida and has a passion for science. He prides himself in creating exciting and engaging labs in class and is excited to bring his love of science to camp this summer.
Coach “C” as he is commonly referred, has over 15 years on experience working youth in sport camps. He has over 12 years of experience as an educator and athletic coach and has a masters in sports administration. Currently he is a Physical Science teacher at Terry Parker High School. Coach C, has a great passion for Coaching as he is the Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach and Head Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Sandalwood High School. On a usual basis he roots for the UNF Ospreys, Miami Marlins, Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes and the Auburn Tigers.
Ana Hale has been volunteering at summer camps around Jacksonville since the 7th grade. She is currently a student at UNF majoring in Chemistry for premedical studies. Being the oldest of a family of 7, she has had many years of experience taking care and watching kids of all ages and sizes.
She adores working and helping with kids and has worked for Assumption Aftercare since her sophomore year of high school. Her goal is to become a pediatrician, so she can combine her love for children and enthusiasm for math and science.
Her attention to detail and creativity make her asset to the camp.
